Salad Dressings
CLASSIC FRENCH DRESSING
Ingredients
3/4 cup OLIVE OIL or SALAD OIL
1/4 cup CIDER or WINE VINEGAR
1/2 tsp. SALT
1/8 tsp. PEPPER
Directions
  1. In a small bowl or covered salad cruet, measure all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
CREAMY FRENCH DRESSING
Ingredients
3 Tbsp. VINEGAR
2 Tbsp. SUGAR
2 tsp. PAPRIKA
1 tsp. WORCESTERSHIRE Sauce (optional)
1/4 tsp. SALT
1/4 tsp. dried MUSTARD
1/8 tsp. GARLIC Powder
dash ground RED PEPPER

3/4 cup OLIVE OIL or SALDA OIL
Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, blender, or food processor, combine all the ingredients EXCEPT the OIL.
  2. With the food processor running, SLOWLY add the OIL in a thin, stead stream. (This should take 2-3 minutes.)
  3. Continue mixing until mixture is thick.
  4. Chill for about 1 hour

CREAMY ITALIAN DRESSING
Ingredients
3/4 cup MAYONNAISE
1/4 SOUR CREAM
2 tsp. WHITE WINE VINEGAR
1/4. dried MUSTARD
1/4. dried BASIL (crushed)
1/4. dried OREGANO (crushed)
1/8 tsp. GARLIC POWDER
1/8 tsp. SALT
Directions
  1. In a small mixing bowl or food processor, mix together all ingredients.
  2. Chill for about 1 hour.


  3. Keeps about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks.
CREAMY GARLIC DRESSING
Ingredients
3/4 MAYONNAISE
1/4 cup SOUR CREAM
2 tsp. WHITE WINE VINEGAR
1/4 tsp. dried MUSTARD
1/4 tsp. dried BASIL (crushed)
2 cloves GARLIC (crushed/pressed)
1/8 tsp. SALT


Directions
  1. In a small mixing bowl or food processor, mix together all ingredients.
  2. Chill for about 1 hour.


  3. Keeps about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks.
