Oven Baked Lodon Broil

I cook it up, cut it into slices, and freeze them for later.

INGREDIENTS

- 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar (Optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Marinate the Meat
- Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl
- Place the steak in a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it
- Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for more flavor)
- Prepare for Cooking
- Remove the marinated meat from the fridge and let it sit at room temparature for 30 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Sear the Meat
- Heat a CAST IRON skillet over Medium-High heat
- Add a small amount of oil and sear each side for 2-3 minutes, until a crust forms
- Bake in the Oven
- Transfer the Cast Iron Skillet with the meat to the preheated oven
- Cook for 5-7minutes, turn the meat over, and cook another 5-7minutes
- Check for Doneness!
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness!
- Rare: 125°F
- Medium-Rare: 135°F
- Medium: 145°F
Always let the meat rest before slicing to retain juices!
