Oven Baked Lodon Broil
One of my favorites!
I cook it up, cut it into slices, and freeze them for later.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Goooooood!
INGREDIENTS
  1. 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  2. 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  3. 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  4. 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
  5. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  6. 2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  7. 2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  8. 1 teaspoon Rosemary
  9. 1 teaspoon dried Thyme
  10. 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  11. 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  12. 2 teaspoons brown sugar (Optional)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Marinate the Meat
    1. Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl
    2. Place the steak in a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it
    3. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for more flavor)
  2. Prepare for Cooking
    1. Remove the marinated meat from the fridge and let it sit at room temparature for 30 minutes
    2. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  3. Sear the Meat
    1. Heat a CAST IRON skillet over Medium-High heat
    2. Add a small amount of oil and sear each side for 2-3 minutes, until a crust forms
  4. Bake in the Oven
    1. Transfer the Cast Iron Skillet with the meat to the preheated oven
    2. Cook for 5-7minutes, turn the meat over, and cook another 5-7minutes
  5. Check for Doneness!
    • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness!
    • Rare: 125°F
    • Medium-Rare: 135°F
    • Medium: 145°F

    • Always let the meat rest before slicing to retain juices!
